In 2023, the Omaha Symphony commissioned GRAMMY & Pulitzer Prize-nominated composer Andy Akiho to write a piece inspired by and in honor of Jun Kaneko, legendary ceramic artist. This film tells the behind-the-scenes story of the composition’s unique beginnings, how it changed over the course of the writing process, the logistics of the performance, and the importance of new music all woven within the concert footage of the world premiere.
